10 tips to make the best out of a quarantine
7. Get some fresh air
Spend some time outside and get some fresh air if possible. Walk your dog, go running or biking, and enjoy time spent in nature.
8. Learn a new recipe
Learn a new recipe or, if you are like me and your lunch has until now been miraculously showing up at a work canteen, learn how to cook (this is not really a tip, more like a statement – if you do not want to die from hunger, you will probably need to start cooking, if you are not lucky (I am not) and do not have someone cooking for you.
9. Family time
Spend time with your closest ones (those you are currently sharing a household with). Let’s play that board game you haven’t touched for years, tell each other stories or (my personal favourite) sing karaoke! Together.
10. Spread goodness and solidarity
People love being useful and feeling they do something meaningful. Maybe you own a sewing machine and you can make some face masks for people in need? Or you can volunteer to go shopping for your elder neighbour. Order fruit for health care workers. Support your favourite local business by ordering food or buying a voucher for later use. Let’s all come together (spiritually, not physically, speaking) in these hard times and make the best out of this situation.
