10 tips to make the best out of a quarantine
4. Work
And educate yourself. If you are lucky, your employer will let you work remotely. Just be careful to maintain your working ethics. If you are not one of those lucky ones, see this as an opportunity to attend online workshops, learn a new skill, new language or maybe start writing that book or blog you have always secretly dreamt about.
5. Read, read, read
Remember those books you haven’t been able to finish for the past year because you “had to” go out with friends or go to the gym? Now you have plenty of time to finish reading them.
6. Stay away from the news
As for the news – try to avoid checking them every five minutes. If you are checking the growing number of new positive Covid-19 cases, I’m telling you, it won’t contribute much to your calmness. If you need to watch something, try Netflix instead (just do not watch the Contagion movie) or, my other favourite, Ted Talks.
